Moonlit San Francisco Bay

One night, armed with a full moon reflecting its beauty over the San Francisco Bay from Sausalito, I was there to witness:

San Geronimo Golf Course, The 16th Hole

Tucked away in a beautiful country side, this tough track is my favorite course to play.

358 yards with a considerably elevated green makes this one tough hole.  Avoiding left off the tee shot over 200 yards is critical as you’ll find the pond strategically placed.  The severely sloped and fast green is highly selective on the approach shot.

Polk St. After Midnight

Right outside of San Francisco facing east is Polk St. One night after midnight, I stopped for some night street photography. Here is one looking southward towards Grove St.:

San Francisco Civic Center

Such a magnificent building!  The building looks entirely different at night.

Lighthouse Under the Golden Gate Bridge

One reason I like night photography is that when the night rolls in and the traffic dwindles, the nature becomes so much more accessible to my senses.

I stood on the vista looking down at water for a few minutes as my eyes tuned to the night only clothed in artificial lights.

From Creekside Park, Greenbrae, CA

Isabel is curious about night photography.  So, one night, she and I packed up our camera equipment and headed over to the Creekside Park at sunset with a hope of some wild sunset colors. . .well, it didn’t happen.  It was one of the least interesting evenings.  Nonetheless, we took some pictures and with that wonderful Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8 (high contrast and saturation glass) and added contrast and saturation, we were able to produce these pictures.

Here, we were looking East towards the bay with the Bon Air Road in the middle of the picture:

After while, we turned to North and took a picture of Marin General Hospital where Jae and Isabel were born:
