The Ferry Plaza Building, San Francisco, is another landmark along The Embarcadero Street. A place of many events on weekends also hosts a number of ferries that serve commuters during weekdays. The Farmers Market on Saturdays is well worth a visit. Here is the link to the marketplace - Ferry Building Marketplace:

The 41st Northern California Cherry Blossom concluded this past weekend. Such a joyful event as the spring (more like summer here) is upon us. My kids are into origami and that limited my photo opportunities mostly to paper dolls and origamis this year. Here are some from the festival from Japantown, San Francisco:

Since I’ve been requested by some co-workers to post a picture of Brisbane, here is one. Seriously, this is a big challenge. We live in a beautiful bay area and trying to take a nice picture of boring office buildings in Brisbane (some bay area people don’t even know this place exists) is like . . . ok, I better shut up now. Anyway, this is what I’ve done with Sierra Parkway in Brisbane:

Unusual sight, at first, I thought as I drove through The Embarcadero Street in San Francisco well past midnight. Sky was clear and the wind blew hard through the streets. It is so unusual to see a red brick building in the Bay Area, and then, having that tall, pointy Transamerica peaking through the sky right behind is a rare sight.

This photo is available for purchase. If you are interested, here is the link to my storefront: Jung’s Smugmug.

Rafael Theatre, a small independent movie theatre in downtown San Rafael, to me, is an icon of San Rafael. I tried to photograph the building a number of times but never came up with a picture worth displaying. . .that is until, I got Nikon D300. Thanks to its Active D-lighting feature and low noise, I was able to capture this below image minutes after the sunset. By the way, here is the link to the theater - Rafael Theatre:
Owned and operated by the Calfornia Film Institute, the non-profit organization that also produces the Mill Valley Film Festival, this beautifully restored Art Deco theater with three screens and state-of-the-art presentation is located in the heart of downtown San Rafael.

This picture was taken back in November, 2007. I was on my way to a golf tournament in Napa and saw this amazing sunrise. I barely managed to find a place to pull over and got this shot off:
