Sierra Point Parkway, Brisbane at Night

Since I’ve been requested by some co-workers to post a picture of Brisbane, here is one. Seriously, this is a big challenge. We live in a beautiful bay area and trying to take a nice picture of boring office buildings in Brisbane (some bay area people don’t even know this place exists) is like . . . ok, I better shut up now. Anyway, this is what I’ve done with Sierra Parkway in Brisbane:

Watching the Night Passing By

I still think palm trees are an oddity in Northern California. No matter how often you see them, they just don’t fit. Aloof and tall they stand when everything else blends with others.

Power Towers at Sunset, San Mateo

On the East side of 101, I was surprised to see a large number of power towers along the 3rd Avenue. I guess it takes quite a bit to power this Silicon Valley.

Here, strong wind and rapid movement of clouds evokes fitting energy to the subject. The shutter was left open for 15 seconds at f/13.

Outrageous Morning - over the Brisbane Marina

brisbane-marina-sunrise-outrageous-s Outrageous Morning - over the Brisbane Marina Outrageous morning over the Brisbane Marina around 7 a.m. this morning. Had a cup of coffee (2 cups of water with 6 cups of coffee beans), felt the morning chills and enjoyed every minute of this glorious morning.

Now that I’ve been taking pictures, my eyes became keener to the light. As I drove from North Bay, across the Golden Gate Bridge, down to Brisbane, I saw an array of lights transforming colors and intensity. Finally, I had to stop and take some shots.

Sometimes, there is nothing quite like what nature has to offer.
